Reason for selection:
Anabuki Arena Kagawa, designed to be an open and user-friendly place like a park, has three facilities- the main arena capable of accommodating a maximum of 10,000 people. the sub-arena and the area for martial arts.
The huge, coordinated and three-dimensionally curvy roof covers the sports plaza composed of the arena and indoor sections of different functions including the spectators stand and the exchange area and also partly extends to the semi-outdoor entrance plaza, which connects to other plazas and hydrophilic spaces. For this impressive roof, R-T technique using water-proof stainless steel has been adopted to present a unique and beautiful finish created with visually artistic belt-like welding lines .
The use of stainless steel for the roof of this arena serving as a gateway to Kagawa Prefecture is expected to increase demand for stainless steel in the future.
