Ergonomic Needle Holder (Easy Knot K.O. Grip) for Sewing Nasal Mucosa

 Applicant: Daiya Seiki Co., Ltd.
Reason for selection:
Conventionally, scissor-shaped holders have been used to sew nasal mucosa and skull-base dura mater in ontological surgeries, requiring an extremely high technique due to limited space in the nasal cavity. This newly-developed Ergonomic Needle Holder (Easy Knot K.O. Grip) has a structure entirely different from the traditional apparatus in that the shaft is shaped like a holder, which can be held steadily and makes it easy to sew in the tight nasal cavity. The K.O Grip has attracted much attention in the medical industry where it is usually difficult to develop and sell newly-developed products. The martensitic stainless type gASK-3900hused for the main shaft and the end holder of the captioned Grip has excellent strength and corrosion resistance required for medical instruments and has also been tested for biological safety required for pharmaceutical applications.
ASK-3900 is expected to make a great contribution in the medical field.
